Just got back from our annual art retreat. We all worked on individual projects. I started a new one with my handy dandy gel plate and printed almost a whole day. Very addicting. Finished some artist trading cards for a couple of swaps coming up and some necklaces going to a local gallery to sell. We shared ideas and as true artist, we steal the ideas and change them up so they can become our own. Sometimes it hard to remember what the original project looked like. It's been a long time since I added an entry. Just too busy, I guess. Currently working on SouthWest Iowa Art Tour. We have been trying to get artists, their listing for a brochure together. We have established Gathering Places, some studios, and set dates with times. We have a Facebook page SWI Art Tour and hope to post the route there along with the brochure. We set the dates for September 27 from 10-6 and September 28, 2014. We hope to become an annual event like the other 3 corners of Iowa. It's below zero and time to update my files. I added a couple photographs from earlier in the week. I took them while it was spring like with NO SNOW. I have two student art shows to get things prepared. Youth Art Month is coming up in Iowa. I finally finished typing the program and adding Velcro to the backs of the artwork for hanging at the Iowa State Historical Building in Des Moines. Next week we will judge and prepare the artwork for the Elementary Show in Corning, Iowa. Who said retirement would be boring! Sure wasn't me. Maybe this weekend or the next I can get my clay jewelry pieces on line and finish up my website on wix.com. I am
